Replace Your Missing Teeth With Natural-Looking Dental Implants

If you have a strong jawbone and healthy surrounding teeth, a dental implant is typically the best dental option to replace one or more missing teeth.

Made from strong and durable titanium, dental implants are placed directly into the jawbone to serve as a replacement for the missing root. After the implant has fully healed and fused to the bone, a porcelain dental crown is placed over the implant to complete the procedure.
Dental implants are one of the best options for permanent tooth replacement, as they can help to restore your appearance and give you a brighter, healthier, and more confident smile!

What Are Dental Implant Retained Dentures?

Do your dentures move, slip, or impact your ability to speak clearly and chew normally? Dental implant retained dentures are an excellent alternative to traditional removable dentures. When dentures are permanently placed over dental implants, you’ll be able to enjoy greater comfort, convenience, and confidence, without worrying about adhesives or chewing problems.

Dental implant retained dentures function much like your natural teeth, and they are designed to provide a comfortable fit and a natural look that matches your existing teeth and skin tone. And because the dentures are anchored to the implant, there will be no more unexpected movement or slippage.

Dental Implant Recovery Process

After your dental implant procedure in our San Jose dental office, a recovery period is necessary to ensure proper healing, as your new dental implant gradually fuses to the bone.
Dr. Kazemi will discuss the healing process with you in detail, so that you will know what to expect and will be prepared with the best care strategies for your new dental implant. The team at Bay Area Dental & Implant Center is proud to offer minimally invasive techniques and microsurgery instruments to ensure optimal results, minimal pain and fast recovery during the healing process.

Although the healing process varies for each patient, Dr. Kazemi will make sure you are educated about the right preventative care measures to take, the best foods to eat during recovery, and the essential oral hygiene steps that should be followed to ensure a smooth recovery.

3-D Cone Beam Computed Tomography Imaging

At Bay Area Dental & Implant Center, we utilize advanced 3-D imaging known as Cone Bean Computed Tomography (CBCT) to plan each dental implant and ensure unprecedented accuracy throughout the placement process.

In addition to providing many more capabilities than traditional x-rays, CBCT also emits less radiation exposure than traditional imaging methods and CT scans, thereby minimizing your exposure during the scanning process.

During the imaging process, you’ll be seated in an open area as the scanner moves around you. We will make sure you feel completely comfortable during the scan, and it typically takes less than 60 seconds for the CBCT imaging device to completely rotate around your head. When the scans are complete, we will perform a thorough analysis of the high-resolution 3-D images to ensure accuracy in the diagnosis, planning, and treatment stages of the dental implant procedure.
